As what sort of undead creature would you classify Jesus after he rose from the dead?

Abernathy asked:

We’re talking D&D here so: Ghost, zombie, ghoul, ghast, vampire, wight, revenant, mummy, or what? You can give me an idea for an undead template on an original classed being if you’re into 3.0 or 3.5 D&D?
They do have in D&D but you come back as an animal or humanoid. What you want is plain ol’ Raise Dead. But you’re going to lose some serious going that route. Is that why was too weak to lead his after he came back? But he should know you can’t get any up in heaven, that place is dead.

    Try reading the book.

Jesus is not an undead creature, but a man with a resurrected body. The exact nature of this body is not described.

I would not view him as a creature. He was a divinity manifested on earth. He was an example of God on earth. Not a zombie or the like.

Lich…. “Hey, you killed me, but I’m fine now”

i can’t believe that there are some people can mock such a sacred symbol, he is a prophet and a messenger of god…… what’s wrong with you people….you have the freedom to believe or not but you have to respect it no matter what

I’d say a zombie, because he still had his origional body, and liked to mess with peoples brains.

i would classify Him as Lord and Savior, the risen Son of God

  9. englishxana Says:

I’m really not knowledgeable about D&D, but Jesus resurrected wouldn’t be able to be classified as any member of the undead. That’s kind of the point of His resurrection. He was no longer dead. At all.

I think that the closest “fantasy world” thing that I could come up with to compare with what He became would be similar to “The Ascended” from Stargate:SG1, and even that falls far short. He became GREATER than he was previously, not lessened in any way.

Each of the undead that you mentioned has lost something upon reaching that undead state, no matter what gains they may have also received. Ghost = no physical body. Zombie = no independent mental processes. Vampire = vulnerability to sunlight and “holy objects”. And so on and so forth. Jesus, on the other hand, did not lose anything that he had prior to dying, and gained a whole lot more upon his successful resurrection.
